HEPCO Inc. seeks an Estimating Manager in Oklahoma City to lead commercial construction estimates from preconstruction through bid submission.

You will develop detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and material summaries, while coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing. The role demands strong Excel skills, familiarity with estimating software, and the ability to interpret plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating experience; 5+ years in construction overall preferred.
• Commercial general contractor estimating and preconstruction experience.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage commercial construction estimates, prepare bids and proposals.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and material cost summaries.
• Review drawings/specifications and maintain estimating records.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids; ensure competitive pricing.
• Distribute plans to subcontractors and vendors.
• Incorporate schedules, logistics, staging, and phasing into estimates.
• Assist with analysis of building components and MEP systems.
• Prepare bid-day summaries and procurement presentations.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to optimize construction methods.
• Track value engineering opportunities and estimating deliverables.
• Evaluate insurance structures, fees, and rates to improve profitability.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Provide training and mentorship to estimating staff.

We are seeking an Estimating Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• This role will independently manage commercial construction estimates, prepare competitive bids and negotiated proposals, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities throughout preconstruction.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and material cost summaries.
• Review construction drawings and specifications and maintain accurate estimating records.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids, ensuring adequate trade coverage and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate the distribution of plans and specifications to subcontractors and vendors.
• Incorporate project schedules, logistics, staging, and phasing into estimates.
• Assist with analysis of building components and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prepare bid‑day summaries and general requirements estimates and participate in procurement presentations.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to develop economical construction methods.
• Track and document value engineering opportunities and prepare comprehensive estimating deliverables.
• Evaluate insurance structures, fees, and rates to identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal project teams.
• Provide training and mentorship to estimating staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of estimating experience; 5 or more years of total construction experience preferred.
• Commercial general contractor estimating and preconstruction experience.
• Ability to independently manage estimates, including takeoffs, pricing, and subcontractor bid coverage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction methods, trade scopes, field operations, self‑perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to develop general requirements estimates.
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles.
• Ability to develop proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Salary

Salary: $101,150–$126,438 annually (Depending on experience and qualifications)
