Qualifications

• At least 3 years of estimating experience; 5+ years in total construction preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of Lean construction principles.
• Familiarity with Lens, Revit, and ASE.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage project estimates, including conceptual estimating and bid leveling.

We are seeking an Estimating Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Dallas, TX. This role will manage commercial construction estimates, prepare competitive bids and negotiated proposals, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities throughout preconstruction.

• Independently manage project estimates, including conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid leveling.
• Review construction drawings and specifications and maintain accurate estimating records.
• Prepare complex cost estimates and material cost summaries.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades.
• Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure adequate trade coverage.
• Coordinate the distribution of plans and specifications to subcontractors and vendors.
• Incorporate project schedules, logistics, staging, and phasing into estimates.
• Assist with analysis of building components and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prepare bid-day summaries and general requirements estimates and participate in procurement presentations.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to develop economical construction methods.
• Track and document value engineering opportunities and prepare comprehensive estimating deliverables.
• Evaluate insurance structures, fees, and rates to identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal project teams.
• Provide training and mentorship to estimating staff.

• Strong commercial general contractor estimating and preconstruction background.
• Experience with conceptual estimating, takeoffs, pricing, bid leveling, and independently managing project estimates.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction methods, trade scopes, field operations, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to develop general requirements estimates.
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles.
• Ability to develop proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to deliver accurate, complete estimates within project deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Salary: $101,150-$126,438 annually (Depending on experience and qualifications)
