Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking an Estimating Manager in its Phoenix, AZ division to lead the change order process on a multi-billion dollar project and oversee the estimating team. The role requires extensive experience and a strong engineering/construction foundation.

You will collaborate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates, optimal bid strategies, and risk mitigation while upholding the company's ESOP culture and commitment to safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of estimating experience, including bid and negotiated work
• Knowledge of building designs, systems and materials
• Ability to lead a team of estimators and manage change orders
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation of detailed deliverables and presents information from a knowledgeable standpoint
• Represents Austin in meetings with owners and architects to discuss design and budget issues
• Reviews RFPs and contracts to identify scope inclusions, contract terms, and risk
• Oversees training and development of estimators
• Compiles cost data for estimating databases
