Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Estimating Manager for its Critical Infrastructure Group, based in St. Louis. You will oversee nationwide estimating operations, drive standardized takeoffs, and mentor a regional team of estimators to support design-build pursuits.

You will partner with regional leadership, sales, and pre-bid teams to ensure consistent estimating practices, high-quality outputs, and risk-managed bids across water, wastewater, and critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of estimating teams in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specs, and bid documents to produce accurate takeoffs.
• Experience guiding design-build and value engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day estimating operations for diverse project types and complexities.
• Ensure accurate, timely material takeoffs and workload balance across regions.
• Provide coaching and development for estimators and lead teams to meet performance goals.
• Collaborate with regional sales, engineering, and pre-bid teams to align estimates with bids.
