Role Description The Estimating Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Channelview, TX, responsible for leading the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for marine construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project specifications and drawings, performing quantity take-offs, analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs, and developing detailed bid proposals. The role oversees the estimating team, coordinates with operations, project management, and engineering to validate construction methods and schedules, and ensures estimates align with safety and quality standards. The Estimating Manager will interact with clients and vendors, solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, and support contract negotiations. This position also maintains historical cost data, improves estimating tools and procedures, and contributes to strategic planning for future bids and market opportunities.
