Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an enthusiastic student intern in our Arizona office to support preconstruction activities. You will assist in preparing proposals, analyze bids, assemble bid packages, attend meetings, and help organize project documents with a detail-oriented approach.

You will use estimating support tools and collaborate with estimation teams and site staff to understand project conditions, contributing to accurate quantities and timely bid submissions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Team player with willingness to learn and grow.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Interest in a construction career with a builder focus.

Responsibilities

• Aid in preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals for compliance.
• Help prepare and assemble bid packages with all documents and specs.
• Attend preconstruction meetings, take notes, and assist with follow-up tasks.
• Organize and maintain project documents including plans and addendums.
• Participate in site visits to understand project conditions.
• Support estimating with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid packaging.
• Use modeling software such as Revit or Navisworks to develop quantities.
• Collaborate with estimators and team members to complete preconstruction activities accurately.
