Consigli Construction is seeking an Estimating Intern to support the estimating team in Portland, OR. The role is full-time and in-person, focusing on quantity take-offs, subcontractor coordination, and cost research to support bid development.

You will assist with cost comparisons, document management, and value-engineering sessions while learning estimating systems and project cost controls within a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel for cost tracking and analysis.
• Familiarity with estimating tools (Bluebeam, OST) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and cost comparisons; compile estimates for materials, labor, and systems.
• Manage subcontractor lists and contacts; research products and suppliers; maintain estimating records.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and analyze historical cost data to support bids.
• Prepare and reconcile cost estimates against previous projects; monitor expenditures.
