Consigli Construction 1 is seeking an Estimating Intern to support the estimating team with quantity take-offs, subcontractor coordination, product research, and document management in a hands-on, in-person setting.

You will gain exposure to cost comparisons, record maintenance, and aligning estimating activities with project goals within a dynamic construction environment, developing practical skills that complement your degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field.
• Foundational understanding of construction processes, materials, systems, and terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in Excel for cost tracking and analysis.
• Familiarity with estimating tools (Bluebeam/OST) is a plus.
• Capable of vendor, material, and cost research to support pricing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and cost comparisons; compile detailed estimates for materials, labor, and project systems.
• Manage subcontractor lists and contacts, research products and suppliers, maintain estimating databases and records.
• Conduct site visits to collect project-specific data and analyze historical cost data to support bids.
• Prepare and reconcile cost estimates against previous projects and monitor actual vs estimated expenditures.
