The role requires pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CM or Civil Engineering, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with estimating tools like Bluebeam or OST.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CM, Civil Eng, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, and technical docs.
• Proficient in Excel for cost tracking and analysis.
• Familiarity with estimating tools like Bluebeam or OST is a plus.
• Experience organizing bid docs, cost databases or takeoff files is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and cost comparisons; document assumptions.
• Manage subcontractor lists and contacts; research products and suppliers; maintain databases.
• Visit sites to collect data (access, topography, utilities) and analyze cost data for bids.
• Prepare and reconcile cost estimates with historical data and monitor expenditures.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams in the estimating process.
• Support bid development with expenditure statements and tender documentation; assist in value engineering.
• Identify risks or variances using cost-monitoring systems; contribute to negotiations.
• Maintain updating of estimating databases and project files for workflow compliance.
