Job summary

ENFRA Solutions in Long Beach, MS is seeking a Director of Estimating to lead all modular fabrication estimating activities and develop policies for accurate, competitive cost estimates on complex fabrication projects.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement and operations to deliver profitable bids, monitor market trends and drive continuous improvement in estimation practices while mentoring a team of estimating professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6–10 years of progressive estimating experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, manufacturing operations, and cost estimating.
• Experience interpreting fabrication drawings and engineering specs.
• Leads and directs others with strong judgment, planning, and budgeting impact.
• Proficiency in estimating software, ERP systems and cost analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops estimating policies, procedures and best practices for fabrication operations.
• Directs preparation of detailed cost estimates for shop-fabricated products and structural steel.
• Reviews drawings, BOMs and specs to determine labor, material and subcontract costs.
• Collaborates with engineering, procurement and operations on proposals.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities and value engineering while maintaining quality.
• Tracks estimated vs. actual costs to improve accuracy.
• Mentor estimating personnel and lead bid reviews and handoffs.
