Job summary

Innovative Design Build is seeking an Estimating Assistant to support the Estimator from ballpark pricing through bid day and project turnover. You will coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and handle takeoffs and bid packaging to keep projects on track.

The role requires strong numeric skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with field teams in Spanish. A High School Diploma and reliable transportation are expected, with health benefits and a company bonus.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with high accuracy to catch errors before they become problems.
• Strong numerical skills and ability to create formulas in Google Sheets.
• Persistent with proactive follow-up to keep bids moving.
• Bilingual in Spanish for clear subcontractor communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare square footage takeoff sheets and material estimates to support ballpark estimating.
• Research vendors directly for ballpark pricing and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Complete quantity takeoffs from plans across trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Prepare bid day packets, invite trades, and schedule walkthroughs.
• Enter final estimates into Buildertrend and QuickBooks after contracts are signed and create milestone invoices.
• Support trade and vendor relations, including annual meetings and onboarding.
