Job summary

Innovative Design Build is seeking an Estimating Assistant to support the Estimator from ballpark pricing through bid day and turnover. You will coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, manage bid packages in Buildertrend, and help generate final estimates and invoices.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization and proactive communication in a fast-paced environment, with on-site responsibilities including travel to trade walk-throughs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in Spanish for subcontractor communication.
• Strong numeric and spreadsheet skills; ability to create formulas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare square footage takeoff sheets and material quantity estimates for ballpark estimating.
• Research and contact vendors for ballpark pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction plans across trades.
• Prepare bid day packets, invite trades, and coordinate walk-throughs.
• Escort subcontractors and answer basic questions about plans and scope.
• Manage Buildertrend bid packages, enter bids, create purchase orders, and follow up on deposits/invoicing.
• Enter final estimates into Buildertrend/QuickBooks after contracts are signed and create milestone invoices.
