European Wax Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Waxer - Esthetician to deliver high-quality waxing services and create a welcoming guest experience. You will promote our products, explain the Four Step to Gorgeous process, and help guests achieve consistent waxing results.

This role emphasizes customer service, sales through referrals and Wax Pass promotions, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while supporting team goals and events.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State Esthetician or Cosmetologist license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on the 4 Step to Gorgeous Process and service benefits.
• Demonstrate Strut 365 products and Wax Pass promotions.
• Perform precise waxing services with guest comfort in mind.
• Drive sales through referrals, pre-bookings, and product demonstrations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the waxing suite and center.
• Engage with guests to tailor experiences using EWC terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Educate guests on our exclusive 4 Step to Gorgeous Process and the benefits of our services.
• Showcase our product portfolio, Strut 365, through engaging demonstrations.
• Promote the value and savings of our Wax Passes while emphasizing the importance of waxing consistency.
• Keep guests informed about current in-center promotions and drive sales through referrals and pre-bookings.
• Collaborate with the team to exceed sales goals and actively participate in community events and outreach to boost brand awareness.
• Perform precise waxing services ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Personalize guest experiences by using EWC terminology and tailoring interactions to individual preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the wax suite and throughout the center to uphold our commitment to excellence.
• Stay informed about necessary procedures and contraindications to prioritize guest safety and well-being.

Requirements

Job Experience/Skill Set:

• State Esthetician or Cosmetologist license
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• A positive, outgoing, and personable disposition.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Consistency in attendance and a dedication to reliability
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, upbeat environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
• Regular use of upper extremities to type, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Predominantly indoor working conditions.
• Work with hot or hazardous equipment such as wax pots.
• Regular use of tablets, phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment.
• Noise level typically ranges from low to moderate.
• Fast-paced environment with intermittent periods of heavy workload.

Salary Description

$17-$35/hour incl. base, bonus & commission
