Job summary

Orion Placement in Charlotte, NC is seeking a licensed North Carolina attorney with 1+ year of estate planning experience to join a growing trusts and estates practice. You will draft and review wills and trusts, guide clients through estate administration, probate, and elder law matters, and manage matters from first meeting to completion.

Join a collaborative legal team and take ownership of cases with increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina bar license in good standing.
• 1+ year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate administration, probate, or elder law.

Responsibilities

• Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies tailored to their goals.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
• Guide clients through estate administration, probate, and trust administration matters.
• Counsel clients on elder law, asset protection, and special needs planning matters.
• Manage client matters from initial consultation through completion with ownership and attention to detail.
• Build trusted client relationships through clear, responsive communication.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Stay current on North Carolina estate planning, probate, trust, and elder law developments.

Note:

Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have 1+ year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning, wills and trusts, estate administration, probate, or elder law. South Carolina bar admission is highly preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently manage multiple client matters and deadlines.
• South Carolina bar admission is preferred.
• Special needs planning, elder law, trust administration, or probate experience is a plus.
