Shift: M-F 9:00am-5:00pm
Salary: $100,000-$130,000 dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related estate planning documents.
- Manages a client’s wealth transfer, handles probate and disputes, and protects incapacitated individuals.
- Ensure plans comply with state/federal laws and reflect client goals.
- Identify, collect, and value assets (real estate, financial accounts, personal property).
- Distribute remaining assets to beneficiaries according to the will or state intestacy laws.
- Represent clients in contested matters, including will challenges, trust contests, and fiduciary disputes.
- Provide ongoing legal representation for annual accounting or disputes regarding guardianship.
- Keeping detailed records of estate assets and actions taken.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of Estate/Trust Attorney experience
- Admitted and in good standing to practice in New Jersey State
- Ability to prioritize workload and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
