Cody, Cody & McCarthy, LLC is a premier estate planning firm in the Greater Boston area seeking an experienced Estate Administration Attorney to lead probate and trust settlement cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values direct client impact, and excels at managing complex estate matters independently.

Minimum of 3 years in probate and trust settlement with MA estate tax return experience and a JD. Active MA bar admission required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dedicated probate and trust settlement experience.
• Massachusetts estate tax and Federal estate tax return experience.
• Drafting probate and trust documents and related tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage estate administration, probate, and trust settlement cases from start to finish.
• Prepare and file MA estate tax returns, Federal estate tax returns, and gift tax returns.
• Prepare, review, and submit probate forms and court documents.
• Obtain date-of-death valuations and documentation for tax returns and settlements.
• Oversee ongoing trust administration, including accounting duties.
• Serve as primary client contact, leading meetings and delivering exceptional service.
