Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking a Paraprofessional ESS to support instruction and supervise students. The role involves one-on-one and small group work, playground supervision, and assisting with testing and progress assessments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with PRAXIS or Work Keys, or some college credits. CPR/First Aid and a valid fingerprint clearance are required; bilingual ability is preferred. Hours follow the school schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School diploma or GED; PRAXIS or Work Keys, or an Associate's degree or 60 credits.
• Current First Aid and CPR or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and supervision of students through one-on-one and group settings.
• Supervise students in playground, lunch, and before/after school times.
• Translate material and information for parents, students, and staff.
• Administer tests and assessments and maintain records under teacher supervision.
• May assist with toileting, hygiene, feeding, lifting as needed.
