Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District #20 MARICOPA HIGH SCHOOL - Maricopa, Arizona is seeking a Paraprofessional for Exceptional Student Services. This part-time position supports instruction and supervision of students through one-on-one and small-group activities, lunch supervision, and testing assistance.

Responsibilities include translating materials for parents and staff, maintaining records under teacher supervision, and assisting with various instructional duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• PRAXIS/Work Keys or an associate’s degree or 60 college credits accepted.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce learning material in classroom or small groups as guided by the teacher.
• Supervise students in lunch, playground, and before/after school periods.
• Translate material and information for parents, students and staff.
• Administer tests and assessments; maintain records under teacher supervision.
• Maintain files and computer records related to student progress.
• Assist supervising instructor with duties related to area of instruction; provide personal assistance as needed.
