Job summary

Great Hearts Blossom Rock Academy is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Lead Coordinator for our K-5 program. The role leads the ESS department, guides IEP development, and supports ESSCs, teachers, and related service providers in alignment with Great Hearts’ educational philosophy.

You will oversee caseload distributions, data reviews, and annual IEP meetings, while coordinating with the headmaster to communicate ESS roles and ensure compliance with timelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate (AZ Mild to Moderate or K-12 Cross-Categorical) required.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a special education coordinator.
• Experience with special education evaluation processes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal timelines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees caseload distribution discussions and final assignment decisions for ESSCs.
• Coordinates, facilitates, and executes IEP meetings and data review sessions.
• Manages relationships with related service providers and school psych regarding evaluations and services.
• Provides guidance and coaching to ESSCs and assists with annual reporting and invoicing.
• Acts as ESS Lead in communications with the Headmaster and community.
• Updates SIS with changes in eligibility and end-of-year rollovers.
