Job summary

Wittenberg University seeks an Assistant Director and Head Coach for Esports to lead the program, recruit and coach teams across Rocket League, Valorant, Rainbow Six, and Overwatch, and oversee arena operations on campus.

The successful candidate will mentor student competitors, work with IT on tech needs, develop program policies, manage budgets, and coordinate recruitment with Admissions. This is a full-time on-campus exempt position with no remote option.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in higher education and Esports.
• Experience coaching Esports teams and planning for competitive contests.
• Strong written and public speaking skills.
• Must pass all background checks; driving responsibilities may apply.
• Experience with Rocket League, Valorant, Rainbow Six and Overwatch.

Responsibilities

• Coach varsity-level intercollegiate E-Sports and support recreational gaming.
• Collaborate across campus divisions to recruit, retain students and develop a healthy gaming community.
• Ensure quality partnerships with IT to meet technology needs.
• Cultivate sponsorships and manage E-Sports budget and arena.
• Develop policies and procedures to support the E-Sports program.
• Oversee recruitment activities and contribute to enrollment targets.
• Promote inclusion, sportsmanship and healthy student well-being.
