Job summary

Martin Concrete Construction seeks an experienced Laser Screed Operator for field-based work across our projects. You will operate laser screed equipment to spread, smooth, and level concrete according to project specifications, while maintaining safety and quality on every pour.

The role requires heavy lifting, travel to job sites (including overnight), and availability for overtime. OSHA certification is preferred, and training through Martin’s program (including Somero) is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, tilt-up, or multi-story concrete finishing.
• Must complete Martin Concrete’s laser screed training program, including Somero training.
• Physically capable of manual labor and heavy lifting.
• Willing to travel to all jobsite locations, including overnight.
• Must be available for overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser screed equipment to spread, smooth, and level concrete per specs.
• Meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality.
• Coordinate concrete truck dumping and placement processes.
• Mentor laborers and finishers to build finishing team skills.
• Set up and tear down laser screed equipment for pours.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on equipment.
