Job summary

Frontline Concrete, a division of Lithko Contracting, is seeking an experienced Laser Screed Operator to join our Place & Finish team in Salt Lake City. This role focuses on delivering high-tolerance industrial and commercial floors with precision and safety.

You will operate Somero laser screed equipment, set up and calibrate hardware, read elevations, coordinate with crews, and support large slab pours. The position offers steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow within

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Somero laser screed (S-15R, S-22EZ, S-940, or similar).
• Strong understanding of slab-on-grade placement and finishing processes.
• Ability to read grade stakes, elevations, and layout points.
• Comfortable working early mornings, long pours, and production-driven schedules.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser screed equipment to place and level concrete slabs to exact grade and flatness.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser transmitters, receivers, and screed equipment.
• Read elevations, slopes, layout points, and grade control systems.
• Coordinate with foreman, pump operator, and finishing crew during placement.
• Assist with concrete placement, raking, vibrating, and consolidation as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Ensure work meets Frontline quality standards, FF/FL tolerances, and safety.
• Support large slab pours, tilt‑up panels, industrial floors, and distribution center projects.

Laser Screed Operator – Frontline Concrete (Salt Lake City, UT)

Frontline Concrete, a division of Lithko Contracting, is seeking an experienced Laser Screed Operator to join our growing Place & Finish team in Salt Lake City. This role is essential to delivering high‑quality, high‑tolerance industrial and commercial concrete floors. We’re looking for operators who understand production, safety, and precision — and who want long‑term career growth with one of the nation’s largest concrete contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Somero or equivalent laser‑guided screed equipment to place and level concrete slabs to exact grade and flatness requirements
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser transmitters, receivers, and screed equipment
• Read and interpret elevations, slopes, layout points, and grade control systems
• Coordinate with the Place & Finish Foreman, pump operator, and finishing crew during slab placement
• Assist with concrete placement, raking, vibrating, and consolidation as needed
• Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
• Ensure all work meets Frontline’s quality standards, FF/FL tolerances, and safety expectations
• Support large slab pours, tilt‑up panels, industrial floors, and distribution center projects
