Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with one of the listed options.
• Associate’s degree or 48 college hours or Para Pro passing score.
• STAR training completed within one year of hire.
• Ability to understand child development and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with small group work and follow teacher guidance.
• Provide supervision in various settings and community-based instruction as directed.
• Support instruction and document progress using computer tools.
• Assess student performance and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Demonstrate math, grammar, and reading skills to students.
• Assist with behavior management and safety of students.
• Support in positioning and mobility as directed by staff.
• Follow school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Assist with attendance, documentation, and required reporting.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring for eligible students when needed.
• Escort students during field trips and campus activities as required.
• Distribute and collect instructional materials and communicate with parents.
