Sarasota County Schools is seeking an ESOL Liaison in Sarasota, FL. This full-time position focuses on ESOL program placement, staff training, and coordination across schools to support English Language Learners.

Responsibilities include assessing new students for ESOL services, maintaining ESOL files, coordinating scheduling, and serving as chair of the school-based ELL Committee. A valid Florida ESOL certificate (K-12) is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Florida Educator's Certificate with: ESOL Certification K-12, or ESOL endorsement and appropriate K-12 certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years' successful teaching experience K-12 preferred.
• Experience working with English Language Learner students (ELLs).
• Experience as a liaison and/or experience training teachers preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assess and evaluate new students for placement eligibility for ESOL services.
• Initiate and maintain all ESOL files.
• Assist with scheduling of English Language Learner students.
• (4) Monitor and assist in the in-school staffings of all ELL students.
• Assist schools in the collection of FTE and other required data.
• Provide training and assistance to ESOL teachers and bilingual paraprofessionals.
• Serve as the chairperson for the school-based ELL Committee.
• Coordinate parent leadership council meetings.
