Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with ESOL hours or equivalent certification, and can teach in ground, online, hybrid modalities; commitment to student success is essential and duties include syllabus management and timely grading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ ESOL/ESL hours or ESOL teaching certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESOL instruction via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities.
• Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required.
• Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.
• Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox; respond within 48 hours.
• Submit final grades for each semester by the Registrar's deadline; complete trainings and reports.
• Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair/Dean and comply with policies.
