Job summary

Volunteer State Community College seeks an Adjunct Noncredit Instructor for EMS Education to deliver quality instruction using integrative technologies across on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree, EMS experience, and teaching or instructional experience; responsibilities include syllabus preparation, timely grading, and compliance with college policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with minimum five years' full-time EMS experience as a paramedic.
• Must meet CAAHEP/CoAEMSP and TDH/Office of EMS requirements; paramedic licensure in Tennessee.
• Minimum five years of clinical EMS practice with active EMT involvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality EMS instruction using integrative technologies across on-ground, online, hybrid, and distance modalities.
• Prepare and update course syllabi; submit before class starts; meet deadlines for grades and reports.
• Respond to emails within 48 hours; participate in department meetings and assist with department and Dean initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with College and TBR policies; complete required trainings and reports.
• Advise Department Chair if unable to teach and accommodate adjunct pool assignments.
