Job summary

Great Hearts Invictus Lower School in Helotes, TX is seeking an ESL Teaching Assistant to support students in general and special education settings under certified teachers. This hourly role focuses on academic support, assignments, and classroom expectations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or higher, experience with ESL/ELL, strong communication, and could have Education Aide certification. US work authorization required. Travel for local training may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or higher.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in special student services and/or ESL/ELL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Educational Aide certification I, II, or III preferred.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Academic Support: supports students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework, projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications to help students learn the material.
• Help students understand and reinforce classroom rules.
• Provide general clerical support for the Special Student Services Team.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
