Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks a qualified ESL teacher for district-wide coverage spanning grades K-12. The role requires a valid New Jersey ESL instructional certificate and experience with WIDA standards, NJ ELA standards, and ACCESS testing.

The candidate should be comfortable with Sheltered English Instruction and turn-key Can Do descriptors, and collaborate with colleagues. Bilingual candidates and additional bilingual certification are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of ESL).
  • Knowledge/experience with WIDA Standards and NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA.
  • Knowledge/experience with ACCESS Testing.
  • Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus).
  • Ability to apply and turnkey Can Do Descriptors.
  • Knowledge of Sheltered English Instruction for MLs.
  • Understanding of the needs of Newcomers.
  • Knowledge of Google Apps for Education.
  • Willingness to collaborate with department and other staff.
  • Detail-oriented in paperwork and documentation.
  • Bilingual (a plus).
  • Additional certification (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural) - a plus.

Teachers of ESL (Grades K-12) - District

Requirements:

  • Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of ESL)
  • Knowledge/experience with WIDA Standards and NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA

Effective: 2026-2027 School Year

Salary:

  • As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level
  • Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
