Job summary

Qualifications

• NJ Department of Education Standard Certificate, CE, or CEAS as required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study meeting students' needs, interests and abilities.
• Evaluates student progress regularly and prepares progress reports.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship, basic communications skills and related areas.
• Provides individual, small, and/or large group instruction as appropriate.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior to ensure an orderly environment.
• Plans and coordinates work of aides and paraprofessionals.
• Communicates with parents and pupil personnel staff on student progress.
