Catholic Guardian Services in New York seeks an experienced ESL Teacher for our Unaccompanied Minor program to deliver culturally responsive instruction across ESL, language arts, math, social studies and science. You will plan engaging activities meeting ORR physical education requirements, collaborate with staff, and support migrant youth in their academic success in a caring environment.

Job Title:ESL Teacher

Salary:$67,000-$68,000 (Based on Experience and Education)

General Responsibilities:

CGS is looking for a ExperiencedESL Teacherfor our Unaccompanied Minor program. TheESL teacherplans and provides culturally responsive educational services to the youth in the program through a content based approach that covers main subject areas including: ESL, Spanish language arts, Math, Social Studies, Science. Provides activities that meet the physical education requirement of ORR.

Required Skills:

• Licensed teacher in English as A Second Language


• Related teaching experience preferred


• Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of the migrant/refugee children


• Proficiency in Spanish required

• Adaptable, flexible, and collaborative


• Strong organizational and planning skills
