Katy ISD CARDIFF JUNIOR HIGH in Katy, Texas, seeks an ESL Aide to support secondary emergent bilingual students and collaborate with the Campus EB Specialist, ESL teacher, and core content-area teachers to ensure compliance with ESL program requirements.

The role involves targeted small group instruction, administering tests, protecting student confidentiality, and ongoing professional development to implement CBLI and ESL policies.

Formación

• College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
• College hours, high school diploma or GED required for Non-Title I campus
• Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with core content-area teachers and special education teachers to ensure EB students' linguistic and academic needs are met.
• Facilitate targeted small group instruction based on EB language proficiency levels and student needs.
• Understand and implement the state and district ESL program model in alignment with policies and regulations regarding EBs.
• Administer oral and written tests to EB students, including serving on a rotational basis at the EL Testing Center.
• Maintain student confidentiality.
• Participate in professional learning activities for professional growth in CBLI and ESL best practices for EBs.
• Other duties as assigned.
