Applitrack is seeking an ESL Paraprofessional to support English language learners in Clyde, OH. You will work with students individually or in small groups, assisting teachers with ESOL lessons and classroom activities.
The role requires collaboration with the ESOL team, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment. Bilingual ability is preferred.

1. Work with students individually or in small groups providing English language instruction and support appropriate to the student's level of English language development.
2. Requires demonstration of strong collaborative skills to work as part of the ESOL team to support student/classroom learning and activities, problem solving skills to support student success, people skills in a service-oriented educational environment, verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills to balance demands of a multi-tasking position, and technology skills in the areas of student educational software, student database software, and office equipment operation.
3. Implement ESOL services under the direction and guidance of teachers.
4. Reinforce reading, writing, mathematical ideas and concepts, and other such skills presented by the classroom teacher.
5. Assist students to use English language skills.
6. Assist in the review and evaluation of students' work.
7. Assist students with understanding school expectations, specifically new students, as needed.
8. Prepare and organize materials and instructional space to support the acquisition of social and academic English language skills.
9. Use strategies that promote students' independence using social and academic English language skills in a school setting.
10. Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment that includes following prescribed policy and procedures of the school and district.
11. Participate in ongoing professional development, self-evaluation, and application of constructive feedback.
12. Demonstrate professional ethics by maintaining confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, and families and respecting legal rights and responsibilities of school staff and students.
13. Attend ESOL and/or other parent/staff meetings at the request of a teacher or administrator.
14. Perform any additional duties, as requested by supervisor or other designated staff, which are consistent with the effective and orderly operation of the ME District and the goals and mission of the district.
