Job summary

Computer-Systems-Institute in Massachusetts seeks an Adjunct Intensive English Program Instructor to teach ESL courses from Beginner to Advanced levels, delivering engaging instruction up to 27.5 hours per week and integrating the learning management system into daily teaching.

The instructor will prepare lesson plans, grade assignments, monitor progress with varied assessments, provide academic advising, and participate in quarterly in-service meetings and program improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ESL/EFL or related field.
• Two years teaching experience to adult learners preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ESL pedagogy and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL courses from Beginner to Advanced up to 27.5 hours per week.
• Prepare and submit lesson plans prior to each course session.
• Grade student work and provide timely feedback.
• Evaluate and monitor students’ progress using various assessment tools.
• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction.
• Maintain records to report student progress to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
• Attend quarterly instructor in-service meetings.
• Stay informed on ESL trends via professional development activities.
• Organize and lead field trips quarterly.
• Contribute to program improvement through feedback and committees.
• Other duties as needed.
