Job summary

International School of Advanced Learning in the United States is seeking a part-time TEFL instructor to teach adult learners in the evenings. Classes run Mon–Thu from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Mon–Fri from 9:30 pm to 1:30 am, with emphasis on engaging, practical language instruction.

The role requires authorization to work in the United States, in-person delivery, and a professional approach. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and familiarity with diverse teaching methods are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution and a TESOL/CELTA Certificate with a teaching practicum OR three months full time teaching to adult learners;
• Excellent communication skills that include public speaking and web-based communication tools;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Working knowledge of a variety of teaching methodologies;
• Experience teaching in a business/corporate environment a plus;
• Knowledge of communicative and audio-lingual methods are a plus;
• A well-groomed professional appearance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Create lessons plan, assignments, and outlines;
• Conduct lectures and maintain a classroom environment that will empower students and ensure successful learning experiences;
• Maintain necessary communication and provide feedback to students;
• Demonstrate good classroom management ability;
• Assess and evaluate student progress throughout the duration of the course;
