Job summary

Goodwill SWPA is seeking a full-time ESL Instructor (Special Projects) to develop contextualized curriculum and provide classroom instruction at the South Side Opportunity Center, with possible travel to the McKees Rocks Center. The role emphasizes helping adults transition to employment or further education.

The instructor works with the Education department to align lessons with job training and College and Career Readiness standards, focusing on English language proficiency and reading skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education and 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or facilitating ESL instruction with adults or youth.
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners and manage a classroom.

Responsibilities

• Instruct using a variety of delivery methods including lecture, group work, and guided practice.
• Maintain student records and track progress in line with PDE guidelines.
