Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related area with substantial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with teaching background.
• Experience developing and evaluating curriculum aligned to standards.
• Ability to plan and provide content-specific professional development.
• Familiarity with educational technology and data driven instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in developing, monitoring and implementing curriculum to meet system needs.
• Assists with professional development and content-specific growth activities.
• Liaises between Curriculum and Instruction and K-12 staff on matters.
• Directs preparation and maintenance of reports and records related to assigned services.
• Supports research-based instructional and assessment techniques.
• Assists with orientation of new teachers in English Language Arts.
• Leads teams to implement effective content-specific instruction.
• Addresses complex problems with innovative solutions to improve quality.
