Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools seeks a senior curriculum leader to develop and monitor district-wide curriculum, aligning instruction with state standards. You will collaborate with school teams, design professional growth, and support teachers in English Language Arts.

Strong data analysis and technology use are required for district-wide improvement. The role requires a master's in education, Tennessee licensure, and at least four years of classroom teaching, with admin cert and ESL endorsement

Qualifications

Master’s degree in education or related area with total education/experience of 11 years.
Tennessee teaching license is required.
Administrative certification and ESL endorsement preferred.
Minimum of four years of successful classroom teaching experience.
Proficient with technology including video presentation, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Lead development, monitoring and implementing curriculum to meet system needs.
Collaborate with professionals to develop effective instructional and assessment techniques.
Serve as liaison between Curriculum and Instruction and teachers/principals.
Plan and conduct content-specific professional growth activities.
Assist with orientation of new teachers in ELA curriculum and instruction.
Assist teachers in curriculum implementation and assessment techniques.
Disaggregate student data and establish program goals.
Prepare and maintain narrative and statistical reports and records.
