Job summary

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in English as a Second Language at Annandale. The position teaches up to 12 credits fall and spring, or up to 8 credits in summer, in face-to-face, remote, and online formats.

A Master’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or equivalent is required, with regionally accredited credentials. Qualified candidates should have prior higher education teaching experience and a commitment to supporting a diverse student

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (TESOL/TESL or Applied Linguistics) or equivalent with 18 graduate hours.
• Regionally accredited degree; international degrees require evaluation.
• Experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL courses in person, remote, and online as schedules allow.
• Develop syllabi and instructional materials for diverse classes.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
• Adhere to NOVA policies and department guidelines.
