Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks an Instructor for Academic Reading/ELL/ESL at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center. You will provide instruction, motivate students, and coordinate with staff to support training goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and a valid ELL endorsement teaching certificate, with at least one year of instructional experience preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid teaching certificate with ELL endorsement and strong communication.
• One year of instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated area(s) of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff to resolve issues.
• Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Relate academic skills to career training and workplace requirements; assess student needs.
• Review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and prepare related reports.
