Job summary

Leonid Group Ltd in Boston, MA is seeking an ESG Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and models that support ESG reporting, analytics, target tracking, and decision-making.

You will collaborate with Sustainability/ESG, Enterprise Data, IT, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve data quality, traceability, and accessibility, enabling external disclosures and internal analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years in data engineering or related role.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data platforms.
• Data modeling, data-quality testing, orchestration, and production data workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with APIs and integrating data from heterogeneous systems.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable ESG data pipelines.
• Develop standardized ESG data models (energy, emissions, water, waste, etc.).
• Automate ingestion and transformation processes.
• Create reusable datasets and data products for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop automated validation, reconciliation, and data-quality controls.
• Provide data lineage and governance support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ESG reporting.
