Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an ESG Data Analyst to collect, audit, and improve ESG data, ensuring accuracy for internal and external reporting. You will work cross-functionally to develop sustainability initiatives, track GHG reductions, and produce data visualizations that drive decision making.

The role supports the ESG Director and Reporting Manager, with exposure to frameworks like GHG Protocol, CDP, TCFD, ISSB and SBTi. A strong quantitative background and Excel mastery are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in a relevant field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, incl. queries, formulas, pivot tables & macros.
• Data management, analysis, and visualization experience.
• Scripting using SQL, Python, R (preferred).
• Experience with structured and unstructured databases.
• Analytical skills with data manipulation and statistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze data for ESG reporting and disclosures.
• Establish and implement data collection processes for reporting.
• Update and maintain ESG data repositories.
• Audit ESG data for precision and quality with QA processes.
• Identify and implement data quality improvements with consultants and third‑party providers.
• Calculate and track GHG emissions (Scopes 1–3) per GHG protocol.
• Collaborate with ESG Director and Reporting Manager to track targets.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate performance.
• Stay up to date on evolving guidance and reporting requirements.
• Prepare internal and external ESG reporting including CDP response.
