Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Sustainability Assurance & Consulting Intern in the United States. The role focuses on coordinating ESG implementation assurance and reporting, and supporting data-driven ESG goals and metrics for client organizations.

Responsibilities include performing assurance procedures, evaluating controls, and assisting in corporate reporting to standards like GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, and CDP, while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or related business discipline with a focus on sustainability, climate and ESG preferred
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility

How You Will Contribute

• Coordinating with clients, co-workers, and partners for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) implementation assurance and reporting
• Collaborating in establishing data-driven ESG goals, milestones, and metrics as applicable for the client's organization
• Performing sustainability-related assurance procedures such as evaluating and testing processes and related controls
• Supporting corporate reporting in line with recognized ESG standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP
• Participating in client meetings and assisting in the preparation of reports
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business discipline with a focus on sustainability, climate and ESG preferred
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Offices suite
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with external financial or sustainability assurance

Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085)

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
