Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an educational field or the equivalent as defined by FAC 6A-1.0503.
• Hold or eligible to hold a Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education.
• Endorsements as appropriate per class composition (e.g., Autism, Gifted, EBD related).

Responsibilities

• Help students meet state and local achievement requirements.
• Teach diligently using prescribed materials and technology-based instruction.
• Maintain records and submit reports required by law, district and administrator.
• Maintain a valid Florida educator’s certificate as required by state regulations.
• Deliver keys, records, and reports to the administrator at year end or transfer.
• Follow district policy with regard to reporting absences and substitute coverage.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings for job enhancement.
• Maintain knowledge of IEPs, BIPs, and Educational Plans and implement faithfully.
