Job summary

Volusia County Schools seeks an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher to support K-5 students at Osteen Elementary. You will work to help students meet annual learning goals and master required skills for graduation, while adhering to state laws and district policies.

Position involves implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff to deliver differentiated instruction and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an educational field.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education or equivalent.
• Endorsements in appropriate areas (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Gifted, Orientation and Mobility, etc.).
• Proven ability to implement IEPs and data-driven instruction.
• Maintain and report progress on IEPs/BIPs as required.

Responsibilities

• Help students meet state and local achievement requirements.
• Teach diligently using prescribed materials and technology-based instruction.
• Keep records and submit reports as required by law.
• Maintain a valid Florida educator certificate.
• Develop IEP goals and monitor progress for students in the ESE program.
• Report Present Levels of Performance and participate in eligibility/placement staffings.
