Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher; or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution (official transcripts required).
• Minimum of three years progressively knowledgeable administrative experience.
• Passing a ParaPro Certification can substitute for the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
• Provides assistance and support in an assigned functional program.
• May respond to crisis situations at schools in a professional manner and assists in reestablishing a safe learning environment.
• Performs routine to moderately complex administrative support duties, e.g., attendance records, reports, scoring, filing.
• Monitors activities and behavior of students to ensure safety and conduct.
• Assists teachers with development and implementation of program curriculum and training.
• Maintains and stores equipment and materials for the assigned program.
• Provides instruction and reinforces skills to students as directed.
• Assists with district-level programs in the ESE department.
• Establishes and maintains communications with administrators, staff, parents and community partners.
