Job summary

Sarasota County Schools in Sarasota, FL is seeking an ESE Paraprofessional Cluster Aide for Brentwood Elementary. This full-time position supports instructional and behavioral supervision for students under the classroom teacher’s direction.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPI training, and potential ASD certification within probation. Teaching assistants will work in a Title I setting supporting diverse learners at Brentwood Elementary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing Para Pro Assessment or an AA/AS degree or 60 hours of college coursework required.
• Must complete CPI training within probationary period.
• ASD certification training may be required by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Independently supervise and implement instruction to students as assigned.
• Assist staff with behavioral management and safety.
• Assist with preparing records, reports and instructional materials.
• Assist with personal care tasks and classroom supervision as needed.
• Follow school policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
