Job summary

Sarasota County Schools in Sarasota, Florida is seeking an ESE Paraprofessional - Cluster Aide to support students with disabilities under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Location noted as Laurel Nokomis; 7.5 hours per day, 10 months, contract shift, with a at-will district framework.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a passing Para Pro assessment or related degree/work hours, and CPI training during probation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Para Pro test or an Associate degree or 60 hours from an accredited institution.
• Must complete verbal and CPI training within probationary period.
• May need ASD certification by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Independently supervise and implement instruction to students as assigned.
• Assist staff with behavioral management.
• Create a safe learning environment and assist with classroom activities.
• Prepare records and clerical tasks as needed.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks as required.
