The School District of Lee County in Florida seeks an Instructional Support (ESE) staff member at Harns Marsh Elementary School to assist with students and instructional activities under direct supervision of a teacher. The role supports instruction, materials, and IEP implementation.

Qualified candidates may have a high school diploma or equivalent with ParaPro exam, or completion of 60 credit hours or an associate degree.

Competenze

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and related privacy laws.
Experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
Ability to respond professionally to customer needs and requests for service.

Assist in instructional process with students individually or in small groups under supervision.
Assist in preparation and use of instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed.
Work with teacher to reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns.
Assist students in development of study skills to meet instructional objectives.
Support parental involvement activities.
Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply with related laws.
Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed.
Provide support in computer lab, library/media center, or other learning facilities.
Assist in implementation of a student’s IEP.
Act as translator if able and appropriate.
Monitor student behavior in cafeteria and campus locations.
Perform Medicaid administrative claims as directed per SDAC Guide.
