Job summary

Socket.dev's Electromagnetics group in the United States seeks candidates with interest in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). The role supports the company-wide ESD control program, helps develop and implement ESD requirements, and performs evaluations of equipment that may have been impacted by ESD events to ensure performance and reliability across submarine platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/ME/CE/Industrial/Manufacturing or Physics.
• 0-5 years post-graduate engineering experience.
• Preferred: experience with ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61000-4-2, MIL-STD-1686, MIL-HDBK-263.

Responsibilities

• Support the company-wide ESD control program across submarine platforms.
• Develop and implement ESD requirements.
• Evaluate equipment potentially impacted by ESD events.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis when needed.
• Participate in ESD classification testing.
• Provide deck-plate support for ESD issues.
• Perform circuit-level analysis of IC susceptibility.
