Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced SME to develop, implement, maintain, and support the enterprise-wide Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control Program for flight hardware. You will collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and design engineers to protect critical flight electronics and payloads while upholding ANSI/ESD S20.20, MIL-STD-1686, and NASA/defense standards.

You will lead audits, define specifications, and design training programs to ensure compliance and safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience implementing/auditing ESD programs in aerospace/defense.
  • Knowledge of ESDA standards: ANSI/ESD S20.20, ESD TR53, MIL-STD-1686.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain enterprise-wide ESD Control Program per ANSI/ESD S20.20, MIL-STD-1686.
  • Conduct audits of ESD Protected Areas across facilities.
  • Develop and deliver ESD training and certification programs.
  • Support design reviews to ensure robust ESD protections.
